What are some causes of diaper rash?

There are many reasons for diaper rash. The most common of these is leaving wet and dirty diapers on your baby for too long, so make sure you’re changing your baby often. Chafing can contribute to diaper rash, so always use the right-size diaper that’s gentle enough for sensitive baby skin. Diaper rash may also occur as a result of allergies to diapers and wet wipes. Inadequate drying after bath-time, sweating, diarrhea, and transition to solid food could be other reasons for diaper rash.

How can I prevent diaper rash?

Make sure your baby’s bottom is as clean and dry as possible. Use our alcohol-free Cleansing & Calming Bottom Spray while changing your baby’s diaper by directly spraying it onto skin or a soft cloth/cotton/tissue. Don’t forget to apply our diaper cream liberally at every change and when needed!

Is Little Pure Project Diaper Cream safe?

All Little Pure Project products have been designed to provide safe and effective solutions on sensitive skin. Our zinc oxide-free diaper cream contains natural and organic ingredients that help prevent rash, itching and irritation, soothe your baby’s delicate bottom and make you happy.

Should I apply diaper cream on every diaper change?

If your baby gets diaper rash often, you may need to apply the cream on during every diaper change.

Should I use a diaper cream even if there is no diaper rash?

We recommend using a barrier cream with every diaper change, even without a rash, to help keep the skin barrier healthy and strong. Depending on your baby’s dryness, you may use our Do-It-All Baby Balm or Nourishing Face & Body Lotion as a barrier cream. Consider balm or lotion as a protective coating that shields your baby’s skin from any potential irritants.

When should a diaper rash require a doctor’s visit?

If the diaper rash is persistent for a few days, painful, accompanied by a fever/systemic symptoms, or if there are any open, crusted areas, it is very important to see a doctor immediately.
